Chocolate Pecan Fudge Recipe

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 to 1 cup pecans (whole or chopped, as preferred)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, allowing the paper to overhang the sides for easy removal.
  2. Melt the Ingredients:
    • In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Stir frequently until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Add Vanilla:
    • Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into Pan:
    • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  5. Add Pecans:
    • Press the pecans into the top of the fudge in rows, or scatter them across if using chopped pecans.
  6. Chill:
    • Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours until it is firm.
  7. Cut and Serve:
    • Lift the fudge out of the pan using the overhanging parchment paper. Cut it into squares and serve.
