Cheesy Beef and Bean Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
- Jalapeño slices (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the Beef:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook until the onions are translucent.
- Add Flavors and Beans:
- Stir in the salsa, black beans, green chiles, cumin, and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Combine with Cheeses:
- Reduce the heat and mix in the cream cheese until well incorporated.
