Ingredients:
- For the Ribs:
- 2 lbs pork ribs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- For Serving:
- 1 cup pineapple, cut into chunks
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Season the ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the ribs in a baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Make the Glaze:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes.
- Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens into a glaze, about 10-15 minutes.
- Glaze the Ribs:
- Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C).
- Brush the ribs generously with the honey glaze and return to the oven, uncovered.
- Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, brushing with more glaze every 10 minutes, until the ribs are nicely caramelized.
- Add the Pineapple:
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, add the pineapple chunks around the ribs, allowing them to roast and caramelize.
- Serve:
- Remove the ribs and pineapple from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and sesame seeds if using, before serving.
