Dessert dreams do come true with this Banana Tiramisu!
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas, mashed
2 cups mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
1 tablespoon rum (optional)
24 ladyfinger biscuits
Cocoa powder for dusting
Banana slices and chocolate shavings for garnish
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
In another bowl, combine the cooled coffee and rum (if using). Set aside.
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure they are coated but not too soggy, and line the bottom of an 8×8 inch dish with a layer of soaked ladyfingers.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, followed by a layer of mashed bananas.
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers, then top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with banana slices and chocolate shavings.
