Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients:
For the Chicken:

- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz (225g) penne or pasta of choice
- Salt, for pasta water
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using) to taste.
- Combine and Serve:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
- Add the cooked chicken on top and gently toss everything together.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil.
