Classic French Toast
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 8 slices of thick bread
- Butter for frying
- Maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries for serving
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
- Cook the bread slices on the skillet until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries.
