Caramel Cream Cheese Bread

 

Wouldn’t you believe  how easy it is to make this quick bread? Try it and see for yourself. They don’t call it quick bread just for fun.

You will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly you can make this  in the oven. The hardest part of the recipe is waiting for it to bake while your stomach starts growling.

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature

4 eggs, room temperature

1/2 cup caramel coating

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoons salt

Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease two 9-by-5-inch loaf pans with butter or nonstick spray.

Whisk together the butter, cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl or mixer, then beat in the eggs and vanilla one at a time.

In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon until well combined. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring until  incorporated.Pour ¼ of the batter into each greased baking dish. Add ¼ cup caramel topping to the dough and stir. Be careful not to let it reach the edge of the pan.

Carefully pour the remaining dough onto the caramel layers.

Place in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.Enjoy!
