Ingredients:

For the ladyfingers:

12 ladyfingers
1 cup strong coffee, cooled
For the filling:

16 ounces mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg yolk
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
For the dusting:

Cocoa powder


Instructions:

Prepare ladyfingers: Dip each ladyfinger in the cooled coffee for a few seconds, then set aside on a baking sheet.
Make filling: In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth. Add the confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and egg yolk, and beat until well combined.
Whip cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
Combine: Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
Assemble: In a serving dish, layer the ladyfingers, then spread with a layer of the filling. Repeat until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of filling.
Dust: Dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder.
Refrigerate: Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
