Creamy Chicken and Bacon Pasta Recipe

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper (green or red), sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for a bit of heat

Instructions:

  1. Cook Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Bacon:
    • In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.
  3. Cook Chicken:
    • In the same skillet with bacon fat, add the diced chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the bacon.
  4. Sauté Vegetables:
    • In the same skillet, add the olive oil if needed, then sauté the onion and bell pepper until softened. Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Make the Sauce:
    • Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Let the sauce thicken slightly, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine Everything:
    • Add the cooked pasta, chicken, and bacon back into the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and perhaps some fresh parsley or basil.
