Baked Cheesy Gnocchi with Tomato Sauce

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 500g gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, chopped, for garnish
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Gnocchi: If using store-bought gnocchi, boil according to package instructions until they float to the surface, then drain.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Combine Gnocchi and Sauce: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Add the drained gnocchi, then pour over the remaining marinara sauce.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and optional red pepper flakes. Serve hot.
