Baked Cheesy Gnocchi with Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:
- 500g gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, chopped, for garnish
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Gnocchi: If using store-bought gnocchi, boil according to package instructions until they float to the surface, then drain.
- Sauté Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Combine Gnocchi and Sauce: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Add the drained gnocchi, then pour over the remaining marinara sauce.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and optional red pepper flakes. Serve hot.
