Chocolate Cherry Dr. Pepper Cake
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 cup Dr. Pepper soda
1/2 cup melted butter
3 eggs
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, Dr. Pepper, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
Fold in the cherry pie filling and chocolate chips (optional).
Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool, then slice and serve.
Notes:
Top with whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate ganache for extra indulgence.
For a stronger cherry flavor, add 1 tsp of cherry extract to the batter.
