Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Garlic Bread
Ingredients
**For the Spaghetti:**
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 medium onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
– 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
– 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
– 1 cup water
– 2 tablespoons sugar
– 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 package (16 ounces) spaghetti
– Grated Parmesan cheese for topping

**For the Garlic Bread:**
– 1 loaf French bread
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
**For the Spaghetti:**
1. In a large skillet or saucepan, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
2. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water.
3. Add sugar, basil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
5. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain well.
6. Serve the spaghetti topped with the meat sauce and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
**For the Garlic Bread:**
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cut the French bread loaf into slices, but do not cut all the way through to the bottom.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
4. Spread the garlic butter mixture between the slices of bread and on top of the loaf.
5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese between the slices and on top of the bread.
6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
