Pull-Apart Garlic Cheese Bread Rolls
Ingredients
- For the Dough:
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 3/4 cup (180ml) warm milk
- 1/4 cup (60ml) warm water
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
- For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- For the Cheese Topping:
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional for creamy texture)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, water, and softened butter. Knead for about 8-10 minutes (by hand or mixer with a dough hook) until smooth and elastic.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Shape the Rolls:
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small, equal-sized balls.
- Arrange the balls close together on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Add Toppings:
- Mix the garlic butter topping (melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt) in a bowl.
- Brush the garlic butter generously over the dough balls.
- In a separate bowl, mix the shredded cheese with mayonnaise, then spread or pipe it over the dough balls as shown in the image.
- Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm, as they pull apart beautifully.
