Ingredients:

– 1 lb (450g) ground beef
– 1 lb (450g) ground pork
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 1 small zucchini, grated
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1 egg
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1 tsp dried thyme

– **For the Creamy Sauce:**
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup sour cream
– 1 medium carrot, grated
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 1/2 cup grated cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
– Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

 

1. **Prepare the Meat Patties:**
– Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
– In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, grated zucchini, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
– Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
– Shape the mixture into oval patties and place them in a greased baking dish.

2. **Prepare the Creamy Sauce:**
– In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
– Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.
– Add the grated carrot and cook for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
– In a bowl, combine the heavy cream and sour cream. Mix well.
– Pour the cream mixture over the sautéed vegetables in the skillet, and stir to combine.
– Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. **Bake the Patties:**
– Pour the creamy vegetable sauce over the meat patties in the baking dish.
– Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top.
– Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
– Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

4. **Garnish and Serve:**
– Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it cool slightly.
– Garnish with freshly chopped dill before serving.
