Fruit Trifle Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups mixed fresh fruits (such as sliced bananas, kiwi, mango, and whole raspberries)
- 1/2 cup orange juice or fruit liqueur (optional, for drizzling on the cake)
- 1 store-bought pound cake or angel food cake, cubed
- Optional for layers: Vanilla pudding or custard

- Prepare whipped cream: In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Layer the trifle: In a large glass trifle bowl, create a layer of cake cubes at the bottom. Drizzle with a little orange juice or fruit liqueur if desired. Spread a layer of vanilla pudding or custard over the cake, then a layer of mixed fruits.
- Add whipped cream: Spread a generous layer of whipped cream over the fruit.
- Repeat layers: Continue layering cake, pudding/custard, fruits, and whipped cream until the bowl is nearly full, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
- Garnish: Arrange the remaining fruits on top for a decorative and colorful finish.
- Chill: Refrigerate the trifle for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
