“Creamy Mustard Lobster Tails”
Ingredients:
- 2 lobster tails
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup white wine
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
- Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Lobster Tails:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Using kitchen shears, cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Carefully pull apart the shells and lift the tail meat, laying it on top of the shells.
- Season the Lobster:
- Place the lobster tails on a baking tray. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and brush over the meat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and slightly browned.
- Make the Mustard Sauce:
- While the lobster bakes, heat the remaining butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot. Sauté until the shallot is translucent.
- Deglaze the pan with white wine and let it reduce slightly.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and whole grain mustard. Cook until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
- Serve:
- Once the lobster is cooked, remove from the oven.
- Pour the mustard sauce over the lobster tails.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices.
- Enjoy!
- Serve hot, ideally in a skillet for an impressive presentation like in your photo.
