  • 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips (or chocolate melting wafers)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate)

For the Crumble Topping:

  • ½ cup crushed graham crackers (or any crunchy cookie)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Peanut Butter Balls

  1. In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, softened butter, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing thoroughly until the mixture forms a soft dough.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze the peanut butter balls for about 30 minutes to firm them up.

Step 2: Prepare the Crumble Topping

  1. In a small bowl, combine crushed graham crackers (or any crunchy cookie you prefer), melted butter, and brown sugar. Mix until the crumbs are moist and crumbly.
  2. Set this aside for later use.

Step 3: Dip in Chocolate

  1. Melt the chocolate chips (with the vegetable shortening if using) in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Stir until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  2. Take the peanut butter balls out of the freezer. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, coating it fully.
  3. Place the chocolate-covered balls back onto the parchment paper.

Step 4: Add the Crumble Topping

  1. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle a pinch of the graham cracker crumble on top of each ball to add a crunchy topping.
  2. Let the chocolate-covered balls set at room temperature or refrigerate them for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!

  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.
