Ingredients:

  • 4 large hoagie rolls, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Meat Mixture:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
    • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions are translucent.
    • Stir in the marinara sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  3. Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Place the hoagie roll halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
    • Spoon the meat mixture generously onto each hoagie half.
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the meat.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Serve:
    • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy while warm!
