– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

– 2 cups rotini or fusilli pasta
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
1. **Cook the Pasta:**
– Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. **Prepare the Meat Sauce:**
– In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
– Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
– Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
– Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
3. **Assemble the Casserole:**
– Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
– In a large baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and the meat sauce, stirring to mix well.
– Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
