Baked macaroni and cheese: ** 🤩
Ingredients:
– 2 cups elbow macaroni
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 2 tablespoons flour
– 2 cups milk
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 cups grated sharp cheddar
– 1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
– 1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Heat to .
2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and drain.
3. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, add the flour and mix.
4. Gradually add milk, salt and pepper until the mixture becomes smooth and begins to thicken.
5. Remove from heat and stir until the cheese melts.
6. Mix the cheese sauce with the pasta and pour into a baking dish.
7. Sprinkle with more breadcrumbs if desired.
8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until thick and brown.
