Cheesy Stuffed Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp instant yeast
• 3/4 cup warm water
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 tbsp melted butter
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
• Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
• In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
• Add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
• Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
• Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Filling:
• In a bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
3. Assemble the Bread:
• Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions.
• Roll out each portion into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
• Place one dough circle on the prepared baking sheet.
• Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about 1/2 inch around the edges.
• Place the second dough circle on top, pressing the edges together to seal.
4. Bake the Bread:
• Brush the top of the bread with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder if desired.
• Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5. Serve:
• Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
• Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
