Ingredients

Instructions
Preparing the Filling:
1.Bake the pie crust according to the package or recipe instructions, then set it aside to cool.
2.In a medium saucepan, whisk together cocoa, sugar, flour, and milk.
3.Add the egg yolks and butter, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a creamy filling.

4.Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the filling into the baked pie crust.
Preparing the Meringue:
1.In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
2.Gradually add sugar while beating, until stiff peaks form.
3.Spoon the meringue over the chocolate filling, spreading it to the edges of the crust to seal it completely.
Final Baking:
1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.Bake the pie for 10-15 minutes, or until the meringue is golden brown.
