Classic Spaghetti Carbonara

 

 

 

  • Ingredients:
    • 400g spaghetti
    • 150g pancetta or bacon
    • 2 large eggs
    • 50g pecorino cheese, grated
    • 50g parmesan, grated
    • Freshly ground black pepper
    • Salt
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • Instructions:
    1. Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to the package instructions.
    2. In a frying pan, cook the pancetta or bacon until crispy. Add garlic for extra flavor.
    3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and grated cheeses.
    4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and quickly toss it with the pancetta and garlic.
    5. Remove the pan from the heat and add the egg and cheese mixture. Stir rapidly to create a creamy sauce.
    6. Season with black pepper and serve with extra cheese on top.
