Ingredients

  • For the Meat Filling:
    • 500g ground chicken, pork, or beef
    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • Salt to taste
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp sriracha (optional, for spice)
    • 1 tsp minced garlic
    • 1 tbsp butter (for caramelization)
  • For Garnish:
    • Fresh parsley or chives (chopped)
  • Other:
    • Skewers
    • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, mix ground meat with breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.
    • Form the mixture into small sausage-like shapes and skewer them onto sticks.
  2. Cook the Skewers:
    • Heat a non-stick pan with a bit of oil over medium heat. Fry the skewers, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and browned (about 8-10 minutes).
  3. Prepare the Glaze:
    • In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha (if using), and minced garlic. Heat over low-medium heat until it thickens slightly.
    • Stir in butter for a glossy finish.
  4. Glaze the Skewers:
    • Brush the cooked skewers generously with the glaze while still in the pan. Let them caramelize for 1-2 minutes per side to achieve that golden-brown, sticky coating.
  5. Serve:
    • Sprinkle with chopped parsley or chives for a fresh garnish.
    • Serve warm with additional glaze or dipping sauce on the side.
