Sweet and Savory Glazed Meat Skewers
Ingredients
- For the Meat Filling:
- 500g ground chicken, pork, or beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- For the Glaze:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (optional, for spice)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp butter (for caramelization)
- For Garnish:
- Fresh parsley or chives (chopped)

- Skewers
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture:
- In a large bowl, mix ground meat with breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- Form the mixture into small sausage-like shapes and skewer them onto sticks.
- Cook the Skewers:
- Heat a non-stick pan with a bit of oil over medium heat. Fry the skewers, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and browned (about 8-10 minutes).
- Prepare the Glaze:
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha (if using), and minced garlic. Heat over low-medium heat until it thickens slightly.
- Stir in butter for a glossy finish.
- Glaze the Skewers:
- Brush the cooked skewers generously with the glaze while still in the pan. Let them caramelize for 1-2 minutes per side to achieve that golden-brown, sticky coating.
- Serve:
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley or chives for a fresh garnish.
- Serve warm with additional glaze or dipping sauce on the side.
