Spiced Meat Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients for Dumplings:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or lamb)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley), chopped

- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Fresh herbs, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Make the Dough:
- Mix the flour and salt in a bowl. Gradually add water and knead until a smooth, pliable dough forms. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Filling:
- Combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs in a bowl. Mix well.
- Shape the Dumplings:
- Divide the dough into small balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle.
- Place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each circle. Fold the edges over the filling, pleating to seal the dumpling. Twist to secure the top.
- Cook the Dumplings:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dumplings in batches, stirring gently to prevent sticking.
- Cook for about 10 minutes or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
- Prepare Seasoning Oil:
- In a small pan, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook gently without burning.
- Remove from heat and stir in vinegar and soy sauce.
- Serve:
- Drizzle the seasoned oil over the cooked dumplings.
- Garnish with chopped fresh herbs.
- Serve hot.
