Ingredients:

  • For the Meatballs:
    • 1.5 lbs ground beef or a mix of beef and pork
    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • For the Sauce:
    • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/4 cup beef broth
    • 1/2 onion, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Equipment:

  • Slow cooker
  • Mixing bowl
  • Frying pan (optional, for browning)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meatballs:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
    • Add the ground meat, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs to the breadcrumb mixture. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
    • Form the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  2. Brown the Meatballs (Optional):
    • If you prefer, brown the meatballs in a frying pan over medium heat to add extra flavor. This step is optional.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In the slow cooker, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, chopped onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook:
    • Place the meatballs into the slow cooker. Stir gently to coat them with the sauce.
    • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
    • Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite pasta.

Enjoy your delicious, creamy slow cooker meatballs! They are perfect for a comforting meal with minimal effort.
