Classic Tiramisu

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups strong coffee, cooled
  • 2 packs ladyfingers
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Coffee: Brew the coffee and allow it to cool.
  2. Mix Yolks and Sugar: Whisk egg yolks and sugar until creamy and thick.
  3. Add Mascarpone: Fold mascarpone into the yolk mixture until smooth.
  4. Assemble: Dip ladyfingers briefly in coffee and lay them in a dish. Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat layers.
  5. Chill and Serve: Dust with cocoa powder and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

2. Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons gelatin, sprinkled over 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions:

  1. Heat Cream and Vanilla: Combine cream, sugar, and vanilla bean in a saucepan. Gently bring to a simmer then remove from heat.
  2. Dissolve Gelatin: Add the softened gelatin to the hot cream, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Set: Pour into glasses and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  4. Serve: Remove the vanilla bean and serve chilled.

3. Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. Melt Chocolate: Melt chocolate and let it cool slightly.
  2. Whisk Egg Yolks: Whisk yolks and sugar until thick. Fold into the chocolate.
  3. Whip Cream: In another bowl, whip cream to soft peaks. Fold into the chocolate mixture.
  4. Whip Whites: Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into the mixture gently.
  5. Chill and Serve: Spoon into cups and chill for at least 2 hours.
