Mini Pizzas with Ground Meat and Cheese

 

 

 

Ingredients:

– 1 pound ground beef or sausage
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 1 clove garlic, minced
– 1 cup pizza sauce
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 package mini pizza crusts or English muffins, split
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
– Olive oil (optional)

Instructions:

 

1. **Preheat the Oven**: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. **Cook the Meat**: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until it’s browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onion is softened.

3. **Season the Meat**: Stir in the pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes, then remove it from heat.

4. **Prepare the Crusts**: Arrange the mini pizza crusts or English muffin halves on a baking sheet. If you like, you can brush them lightly with olive oil for extra flavor.

5. **Assemble the Pizzas**: Spoon the meat mixture evenly over each crust. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

6. **Bake**: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the crusts are golden brown.

7. **Garnish and Serve**: Remove the mini pizzas from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
