**Ingredients:**
For the Cake:
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3 large eggs
– 1/2 cup whole milk

**Instructions:**
1. **Preheat the Oven:**
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
– Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan, or line it with parchment paper.
2. **Prepare the Dry Ingredients:**
– In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. **Cream the Butter and Sugar:**
– In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. **Add the Eggs:**
– Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. **Add the Wet Ingredients:**
– Mix in the vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice until combined.
6. **Combine the Dry and Wet Ingredients:**
– Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three additions, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
7. **Bake the Cake:**
– Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
