Honey Garlic Glazed Meatballs Recipe

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • For the Meatballs:
    • 1 lb ground beef or chicken
    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1/3 cup honey
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
  • Garnish:
    • Chopped green onions
    • Sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Make the Meatballs: In a bowl, mix together ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into 1-inch balls.
  2. Cook Meatballs: Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until all sides are browned and meatballs are cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Remove meatballs from the pan and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Glaze: In the same pan, add honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and ginger. Bring to a simmer. Add the dissolved cornstarch and stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
  4. Combine: Return the meatballs to the pan and toss them in the glaze until they are well coated.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
