Honey Garlic Glazed Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground beef or chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Glaze:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
- Garnish:
- Chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Make the Meatballs: In a bowl, mix together ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into 1-inch balls.
- Cook Meatballs: Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until all sides are browned and meatballs are cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Remove meatballs from the pan and set aside.
- Prepare the Glaze: In the same pan, add honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and ginger. Bring to a simmer. Add the dissolved cornstarch and stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Combine: Return the meatballs to the pan and toss them in the glaze until they are well coated.
- Garnish and Serve: Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
