Hamburger with Onion Sauce*
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 Egg
1/3 cup Breadcrumbs

1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Onion powder
1 minced garlic clove
1 tsp.Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp. Oil
1 1/2 cup Onion, thinly sliced 2 tbsp. All-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1/2 tsp. Salt

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread pieces, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Form into thick flat cakes.Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Grill the burgers and onions in the oil until well browned. Place the beef patties on a plate and keep warm. Sprinkle flour over the onions and drippings in the pan. Fold in the flour with a fork and remove the pieces of meat from the bottom as you mix.Gradually add the meat broth. Season with prepared salt. Braise and mix on medium-low intensity until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to low, return the burgers to the sauce, cover and simmer for another 15 minutes.
