Cinnamon Sugar Muffins Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a muffin tin or line with muffin papers.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- Combine Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, mix the milk, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Make Batter:
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened (the batter should be lumpy).
- Fill Muffin Tins:
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
- When the muffins are done, while still warm, remove them from the pan. Dip the top of each muffin first in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve:
- Serve the muffins warm or at room temperature.
