Cinnamon Sugar Muffins Recipe

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a muffin tin or line with muffin papers.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, mix the milk, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Make Batter:
    • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened (the batter should be lumpy).
  5. Fill Muffin Tins:
    • Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  7. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
    • In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
    • When the muffins are done, while still warm, remove them from the pan. Dip the top of each muffin first in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve the muffins warm or at room temperature.
