Ingredients:
- For the Base:
- 2 cups cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- Food coloring (optional, for the orange color)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Base:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, sugar, baking powder, and butter until crumbly.
- Add eggs and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Press this dough into a greased baking dish, creating a flat, even layer.
- Make the Custard:
- In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla extract.
- Pour the custard over the base layer in the baking dish.
- Prepare the Topping:
- In a small saucepan, combine coconut milk and sugar. If using, add food coloring to achieve the desired color.
