- 1/2 cup orange juice or apple juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or to taste (optional)
- For the Pineapple Layer:
- 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup coconut water or pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or to taste (optional)
Instructions:
- Make the Strawberry Layer:
- In a blender, combine the frozen strawberries, orange juice, and honey.
- Blend until smooth and thick. Adjust sweetness with additional honey if needed.
- Scoop out the strawberry mixture into a separate container and set aside in the freezer to keep chilled while you make the next layer.
- Make the Pineapple Layer:
- Rinse the blender, then add the frozen pineapple chunks, coconut water, and honey.
- Blend until smooth. Adjust the thickness by adding a bit more juice if it’s too thick or adding more frozen pineapple if too thin.
- Taste and add more honey if desired for extra sweetness.
- Assemble the Smoothie:
- Spoon some of the strawberry mixture into the bottom of a tall glass.
- Gently add a layer of the pineapple smoothie on top.
- Alternate between the two until the glass is filled, carefully layering to maintain distinct colors.
- Serve:
- Optionally, garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple or strawberry on the rim of the glass.
- Serve immediately with a straw.
This visually striking and deliciously tropical smoothie is perfect for a hot day or as a healthy treat. You can experiment with the layers by adding different fruits or using various juices for blending to suit your taste preferences!
