Ingredients:

  • For the Strawberry Layer:
    • 2 cups frozen strawberries
    • 1/2 cup orange juice or apple juice
    • 1 tablespoon honey or to taste (optional)
  • For the Pineapple Layer:
    • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
    • 1/2 cup coconut water or pineapple juice
    • 1 tablespoon honey or to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Make the Strawberry Layer:
    • In a blender, combine the frozen strawberries, orange juice, and honey.
    • Blend until smooth and thick. Adjust sweetness with additional honey if needed.
    • Scoop out the strawberry mixture into a separate container and set aside in the freezer to keep chilled while you make the next layer.
  2. Make the Pineapple Layer:
    • Rinse the blender, then add the frozen pineapple chunks, coconut water, and honey.
    • Blend until smooth. Adjust the thickness by adding a bit more juice if it’s too thick or adding more frozen pineapple if too thin.
    • Taste and add more honey if desired for extra sweetness.
  3. Assemble the Smoothie:
    • Spoon some of the strawberry mixture into the bottom of a tall glass.
    • Gently add a layer of the pineapple smoothie on top.
    • Alternate between the two until the glass is filled, carefully layering to maintain distinct colors.
  4. Serve:
    • Optionally, garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple or strawberry on the rim of the glass.
    • Serve immediately with a straw.

This visually striking and deliciously tropical smoothie is perfect for a hot day or as a healthy treat. You can experiment with the layers by adding different fruits or using various juices for blending to suit your taste preferences!
