Baked Mozzarella Cheese Chicken Recipe
This was fixed last night and it was out of this world!
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup your favorite marinara sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 190ยฐC (375ยฐF) to ensure it is ready for baking is.
Prepare the baking dish: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish to prevent the chicken from sticking.
Season Chicken: Mix together Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper.Rub this mixture on both sides of the chicken breasts to add flavor.

Brown Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken breasts until golden brown on each side, about 3 to 4 minutes per side, to retain the juices.
Preparation: Place the braised chicken in the prepared baking dish. Cover the chicken with the remaining marinara sauce, making sure each breast is well coated.
Add Cheese: Top each chicken breast generously with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese to create a golden, cheesy crust.Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
