Ingredients:

– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 1 large egg yolk (for dough)
– 1 large egg yolk (for brushing)
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 tsp baking powder
– Pinch of salt
– 2-3 tbsp milk (if needed)

Instructions:

 

1. **Preheat Oven**: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. **Prepare the Dough**:
– In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, powdered sugar, and vegetable oil until smooth and creamy.
– Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
– In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
– Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time until the dough holds together.

3. **Shape the Cookies**:
– Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
– Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
– Gently flatten each dough ball with your fingers or a flat object to form round discs.

4. **Create the Stripes**:
– Beat the remaining egg yolk in a small bowl.
– Using a fork, lightly score the surface of each cookie to create stripes
