Cheesy Bacon Potato Casserole
Ingredients:
– 4 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
– 1 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup butter
– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
– 2 cups milk
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. **Preheat Oven:** Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. **Prepare Potatoes:** Boil the sliced potatoes in salted water for 5-7 minutes until just tender but not fully cooked. Drain and set aside.
3. **Make Cheese Sauce:**
– In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
– Add the flour and stir until it forms a paste (roux). Cook for 1-2 minutes.
– Slowly add the milk, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens.
– Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

– Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
– Sprinkle half of the cooked bacon over the cheese sauce.
– Add another layer of potatoes and repeat with the remaining cheese sauce and bacon.
