Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Glazed Ham

 

 

Ingredients:

– **1 (7-8 pound) bone-in fully cooked ham**
– **2 cups brown sugar, divided**
– **1/2 cup honey**
– **1/2 cup pineapple juice**
– **1/4 cup Dijon mustard**
– **1 teaspoon ground cinnamon**
– **1/2 teaspoon ground cloves**
– **1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg**

1. **Prepare the Ham**:
– Place 1 cup of brown sugar in the bottom of the slow cooker.
– Place the ham on top of the brown sugar, flat side down.

2. **Make the Glaze**:
– In a medium bowl, mix together the remaining brown sugar, honey, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground nutmeg.

3. **Add the Glaze**:
– Pour the glaze mixture over the ham, ensuring it covers the ham as much as possible.

4. **Cook the Ham**:
– Cover the slow cooker with its lid.
– Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, basting the ham with the juices every hour if possible.

5. **Caramelize the Glaze (Optional)**:
– If you want a caramelized glaze, remove the ham from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet lined with foil.
– Pour some of the glaze over the top and broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
