Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken
Ingredients
1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds) ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt (more or less to taste)
Directions
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Wrap 4 balls of aluminum foil and place under hot oil (use a chicken rack to catch juices under chicken in slow cooker).
Remove the neck and casing from the chicken, rinse the chicken with water and dry with paper towels.
Mix the salt and pepper in a small bowl. Season the chicken skin with herbs.
Place the chicken on a silver aluminum plate. Close the lid and cook on low for 7-7.5 hours or on high for 4-4.5 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 F. Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker (it is very fragile and may fall apart).
Raise chickens the way you want.
If you want soft skin, place the chicken on a baking tray and fry for 3-5 minutes.
