PEPPERONI PIZZA TACOS

Crispy shells. Cheesy fillings. Pizza flavor in every bite.

If you’re craving something fun, bold, and packed with flavor, these Pepperoni Pizza Tacos are the perfect fusion of taco night and pizza night. They’re easy to prepare, family-friendly, and fully customizable with your favorite toppings!

Ingredients:

  • 8–10 taco shells (hard or soft, based on preference)
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup (240ml) pizza sauce
  • 1½ cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (60g) sliced pepperoni
  • Optional toppings:
    • Sliced black olives
    • Diced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)
    • Crushed red pepper flakes
    • Fresh basil or oregano leaves

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easier cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Add chopped onion and cook for another 3–4 minutes until softened. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the Sauce:
    Pour in the pizza sauce, stir to coat the meat mixture evenly, and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble the Tacos:
    Arrange taco shells upright on the baking sheet. Spoon the meat mixture into each shell. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese and top with slices of pepperoni.
  5. Bake to Melt Perfection:
    Bake the tacos for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the shells begin to crisp.
  6. Finish & Serve:
    Remove from oven, garnish with any optional toppings, and serve immediately. Great on their own or paired with a fresh salad or dipping sauce.

Chef’s Tip:

Brush taco shells lightly with olive oil before baking for an extra golden crunch. Want a spicy kick? Add a dash of hot sauce inside each taco before baking.
