Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons cooking oil or butter
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:
    • Boil the sliced potatoes in salted water for about 5-7 minutes until they are just starting to become tender but still firm. Drain well and let them dry for a few minutes. This step helps in getting them crispy when fried.
  2. Heat the Oil:
    • In a large skillet, heat the oil or butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the Onions:
    • Add the chopped onions to the skillet and sautรฉ until they start to become translucent and slightly golden.
  4. Add the Potatoes:
    • Add the parboiled potato slices to the skillet with the onions. Spread them out evenly over the pan. Let the potatoes fry without stirring for a few minutes to allow them to develop a golden crust on the bottom.

  5. Garnish and Serve:
